Prayerful : ABC Of Knowing True Love Part 16

  • By Pastor Sophia

Being prayerful is actually a spiritual exercise that shows you love each other.

A relationship or marriage void of prayers is heading for the rocks.

Prayer becomes one of the most vital ingredients in making the home of your relationship stand strong.

It gives the necessary backing and stamina to weather the storms that comes against your relationship and marriage.

    Matt 7:24 "
Therefore, whosoever heareth thes sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him to a wise man, which buildeth his house upon a rock:

verse 25 "And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not for it was founded upon a rock"

The rains, storms and challenges happen, but it is only those who obey God's word that will remain standing.

The spiritual power our relationships and marriages need can only be found in the place of prayers.

To birth our destiny and the destiny of our family requires being prayerful.

Prayers will eradicate struggles and unnecessary pains from your relationship and marriage.

Some marriage are suffering today what should have being handled by prayers.

Some delays, oppression, frustrations and attacks of the enemy would have been kept at bay, if only couples learn to pray.

I remember when I was in courtship, I and my fiance prayed like that was all we knew to do.

Really, it was wisdom for us. We prayed, prayed and then prayed some more.

Now, we can see the results, benefits and fruits of our prayers. We simply passed over so many crisis unhurt.

Another reason why being prayerful is expressing your love is that you are bringing yourself to a place where God can lead, teach, correct and handle things on your behalf.

There were so many things God taught my husband that is making him a better husband to me, loving me better.

There are some temperamental issues that the Holy spirit told us to drop while we were in the place of prayers.

Prayers will also help resolve issues without you having to fight by yourself.

In the place of prayers, you hand them over to God to sort out. I did and still do that a lot.

As a wife or husband you are not called to be a fighter. No need to fight or shout at yourself if you are prayerful.

Being prayerful is best started when you are in courtship.

Don't just spend all days eating out, going to cinemas, buying and receiving gifts. Inculcate prayers into your relationship life and God will help us all.
