TOPIC: HOW TO GIVE THANKS WITH JOY
The word "Rejoiced" is agallio which means to belly laugh, jump for joy, exceeding glad. He wants you to express your thanksgiving with dancing and rejoicing.
REASONS WHY WE SHOULD GIVE THANKS WITH JOY:
1. God has emotions (Gen 6:6, 1 Sam 15:11, 1 Chr 21:15, Psa 78:38, Hos 11:8).
2. Jesus has emotions (Heb 4:14-15, Jhn 11:35, Lk 19:41, Mk 3:5, Lk 10:21.
3. The holy spirit has emotions (Eph 4:30, Rev 4:11).
4. Serving God with joy is a command (Deut 28:47-48).
5. We are instructed throughout the scripture to praise God (Psa 29:2, Psa 34:1).
6. Peace is a benefit of a joyful heart (Phil 4:4-7).
7. Rejoicing is a decision you have to make (Hab 3:17-18).
8. Joy affects prosperity (Joel 1:12, Psa 35:27).
9. Your giving is an expression of your thankful heart (Exo 25:2, 1Chr 16:29, Pro 3:9, Rom 11:16).
10. God's word is the source of joy (Jhn 16:25, 1 Pet 1:8).
"Whom having not seen,ye love; in whom though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with JOY UNSPEAKABLE and full of glory" (1 Pet 1:8).
Though the joy is unspeakable but:
1. It is jumpable (Zep 3:17).
2. It is singable (Psa 67:4, Isa 52:9).
3. It is danceable (Psa 149:3).
4. It is laughable (Gen 21:6, Job 5:22, Psa 126:2).
5. It is shoutable (Ezra 3:11, Psa 5:11, Psa 35:27, Psa 47:5, 1 Thess 4:16, Isa 12:6).
ACTION PLAN: Step out in faith and rejoice in His presence before the rejoicing.
