    What did we get from chapter 20 of this Book?

    Proverbs 20:1 Wine makes you mean, beer makes you quarrelsome - a staggering drunk is not much fun.
    Proverbs 20:2 Quick-tempered leaders are like mad dogs - cross them and they bite your head off.
    Proverbs 20:3 It's a mark of good character to avert quarrels, but fools love to pick fights.
    Proverbs 20:4 A farmer too lazy to plant in the spring has nothing to harvest in the fall.
    Proverbs 20:5 Knowing what is right is like deep water in the heart; a wise person draws from the well within.

    Verse 1. Alcohol affects our emotions either

    Verse 4. Don't let your laziness of today Rob us of the reward tomorrow.... No work, then expect no harvest

    Verse 15. Gold is plentiful, jewels abundant, but wise speech is a precious object

    Our words should be our most treasured possession.

    Verse 12. The ear that hears , the eye that sees . The Lord made them both

    Philippians 3:2 (KJV) Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

    Verse 2 is say every quick tempered leader is not just a dog to beware of, but a mad one

    That's serious; Too serious to be overlooked

    So Philippians is warning us to beware so thay we won't cross them

    Proverbs 20:21 A bonanza at the beginning is no guarantee of blessing at the end.
    Proverbs 20:22 Don't ever say, "I'll get you for that!" Wait for God; he'll settle the score.
    Proverbs 20:23 God hates cheating in the marketplace; rigged scales are an outrage.
    Proverbs 20:26 After careful scrutiny, a wise leader makes a clean sweep of rebels and dolts.
    Proverbs 20:28 Love and truth form a good leader; sound leadership is founded on loving integrity.
    Proverbs 20:29 Youth may be admired for vigor, but gray hair gives prestige to old age.
    Proverbs 20:30 A good thrashing purges evil; punishment goes deep within us.

    And so that they won't bite the most sensitive part of the body, (the head)

    Verse 23..... We don't need to lie to make profits. Our sincerity is required daily and always

    Verse 24. A man's steps are decided by the Lord. What does a man know about his own way?

    Verse 29.The glory of young men is their strength, and the beauty of old men is the grey hair. I also want to grow old too

    Proverbs 20:10 Switching price tags and padding the expense account are two things God hates.
    Proverbs 20:15 Drinking from the beautiful chalice of knowledge is better than adorning oneself with gold and rare gems.
    Proverbs 20:16 Hold tight to collateral on any loan to a stranger; beware of accepting what a transient has pawned.

    Verse 17. Bread gained by fraud may be tasty to a man, but later his mouth will be filled with gravel; That's too heavy for the teeth

    Verse 19... Beware of those who talk more than listening

    Verse 27. The lifebreath of man is the lamp of the Lord revealing all his inmost parts

    Verse 2. The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul

    It's an honor for a man to cease from strife

    This chapter is rather an adviser to the believers working towards perfection

    Verse 1 speaks about the danger of hard drink

    Our diligence to honesty, decency and respect is an investment for our joy in future

    If an unconditional peace is all we require, then an unconditional dynasty to our lifestyle is what it takes

    Verse 18 instructs about living purpose driven life. A Yoruba adage says (interpreted) "He who seeks directions doesn't lose his way"

    Verse 19 warns about sharing secrets

    Do not take up with a talkative man

    Yea! Not everybody is authorized to know everything about us!

    See Eph 5:18! And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess but be filled with the spirit

    May the eyes of our understanding never be shut and our willingness to serve never be destroyed
