Paris Film Festival Awards Tunde Kelani
“Dazzling Mirage” a 'sickle cell' movie by Tunde Kelani's has won the 'Audience Choice Award' at the 2015 edition of the NollywoodWeek Paris film festival.
The event which started on thursday June 4 and ended sunday June 7, 2015 at the Cinéma l’Arlequinin Paris, France.
“Dazzling Mirage” was written by Ade Solanke and it is a a screen adaptation of Yinka Egbokhare's novel of the same title. It features Kemi 'Lala' Akindoju, Kunle Afolayan, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Bimbo Manuel, Carol King, Yomi Fash Lanso, Seun Akindele among other talented actors.
The movie is about a young advertising executive (Funmiwo) living with sickle cell disorder. Who, by determination overcame social stigma, prejudice and her own low self-esteem to achieve career success, marriage and motherhood.
The movie competed alongside 'Thy will be done', 'October 1,' 'Love or Something,' 'A Mile from Home,'Ojuju,' 'Last 3 Digits,' for the 'Audience Choice Award'.
