The deceit of confession

Proverbs 14:23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury. Proverbs 14:23 Hard work always pays off; mere talk puts no bread on the table.(message)
A. There is power in Gods words ,Jesus speaking in John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.....
But have you ever wonder or ask yourself why is our confession of Gods words not producing results the way they should, have you ever wonder why wonder why our confession is not bringing profit into our lives for all to see , have you ever wonder or ask yourself why is it that the more we confess Gods words the less we possess,why ?
# Lets take a look at prov14:23 again and see why Proverbs 14:23
In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury. ...... "the talk of the lips tendeth to penury or to poverty" that is to say, it is not just talking or confessing alone that brings the blessing,it is not just talking and confessing alone that gets the wedding done,it is not just talking and confessing alone that puts you over all obstacles in life , it is not just talking and confessing alone that puts bread on your table.
There is more to confession and the talk of the lips ! ……" in all labour there is profit" this is what most believers confession lacks. We just do the talking without corresponding action to back the talk ,what an irony ! 1 Timothy 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
B. HOW DO WE LABOUR WITH OUR CONFESSION TO GAIN PROFIT
1. THINK TO PLAN
•He that fails to plan has plan to fail.
•God is never against planning .God is a planner Genesis 2:4-6 These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and [there was] not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
•No rain until man was formed to take care of the garden (or else the garden will become a forest of weeds because there is no man to keep it clean)
• part of Gods plan was to cause a mist to water the whole earth until man was formed....Thats simple planning 1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 1 Timothy 4:15 Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress. NLT
• To meditate means to think and to think means to meditate.
•when you engage your mind in thinking you find solutions to plan with it
• You think to plan ( 1tim4:15 NLT task) Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
•The wisdom of God is in our heart as believers , so when we think, we think to release it out. 1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. Proverbs 14:33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but [that which is] in the midst of fools is made known.
• Sit down with your confession of Gods word and think it out
2. THINK TO ENQUIRE
• Its not just enough to make confession of the scriptures .You need to sit down with the word and think to make enquires. lord should i go this way or that way ? lord should i marry this person or not ? when you have gotten the answers to your question then you can now start confessing right.
Psalms 27:4 One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Ecclesiastes 7:10 Say not thou, What is [the cause] that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
• When you don't make enquries from God ,you are bound to have repetition of occurrences in your life .Experience is the best teacher but evaluated experience is the superior teacher.
•When you think to enquire from God and not just making confession of Gods word alone ,it will save you from disappointment and shame
3. THINK TO BECOME
• There is power to become not only what you ask but also what you think on Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart [is] not with thee.
• For confession to work it must always agree with the picture your thought has produce. Matthew 6:22-23 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness!
Genesis 11:1-6
And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people [is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
• When your confession is in line with the pictures in your heart,You become a dangerous person even God himself cant stop you.
