Mark 4:26-29 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

    A. What do you do when you have intiated a faith action and yet you are not seeing results. What do you do after you have prayed and made your confessions, concerning your health and finances and yet you are not seeing appreciable results in your body and finances .What do you do after you have obeyed that divine instruction and yet their is a silence around your life. What do you do after you have put in your whole life to serve the lord and yet the physical reality of your life does not match the blessings that comes from serving the lord…………for many of us ,we get frustrated and want to quit.

    # Every farmer knows that waiting is part of the process to harvesting.

    # There is a time for things to happen. Things dont just happen because they are meant to happen, they happen because the time for them to happen has come.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

•Don't make the mistake of doing things outside of Gods timing.
e.g when peter was jailed, after he was free, he came back to the house where is brethren were praying. stood at the door knocking but they were still praying, not knowing that the time of prayer was over- its now time to receive. Acts 12:12-16

    # Mark 4:26-29

Here Jesus was talking about the parable of the sower who went out to sow seeds, and from that story Jesus demonstrated the LAW OF PROGRESSION
•The law states that first the blade, then the ear,and finally the full corn.
    • For any harvest to take place the seed must be sown. it could be cash, service or confessions
    • As long as you keep digging up your seed, the seed will not grow and produce mighty harvest.

    B. In THE LAW OF PROGRESSION Jesus demonstrated in mark 4:26-29,we read as our text, there are 3 stages i want us to look at.

    1. THE BLADE STAGE
    • This is the stage you awaits the first evidence of growth....first the blade
    • This is the moment the seed is totally out of the control of the one that sows it. The moment the seed(confession or actions) leaves your hand ,you are no longer in control of the seed.

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

    • This is a stage where it looks like nothing is happening.....And that's a lie of the devil something is happening.

1kings18... Elijah and the sound of abundance of rain. when he heard it. for seven good times the servant was going out to look for a sign or an evidence of the first growth of the word, but it looks as if nothing was happening until he saw the sign.

    • During this stage one crucial thing that you will need is PATIENCE.
You can not succeed in these blade stage without patience.

    • You must have the pictures of the harvest before sowing the seed. This will help develop patience.

    # PATIENCE can be define as:
    - To hold steady
    _ To be consistent
_ To be constantly ths same

Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep [it], and bring forth fruit with patience.

    • During these stage , there will be no physical evidence to motivate you, except Gods word

    • Blade time can be detrimental to harvest, people become relax at the appearances of ths small sign of growth

    2. THE EAR STAGE
•This is thd longest time of waitng, waiting for the full corn to appear.
•This is the stage that separates the boys from the men
•This is the stage that separates believers that knows that Gods word is true from believers who hope that Gods word is true.
    • At this stage many of us are tempted to quit.
    _To quit dreaming
    _To quit prayers
    _To quit serving
    _To quit coming to church

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

    3. THE HARVEST STAGE
•This is the stage where you have the full ear of corn.

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

•There will always be harvest time ,no matter how delayed Gods word is to you. Gods word can not be faulty

C . HOW DO YOU COMBAT THE TEMPTATION TO QUIT WHILE WAITING ON GODS PROMISES TO YOU.

    1. By focusing on the word and not the situation.
    • The situation before you are distraction to distract you from Gods word to you.
    • Deception is the way of the devil. Devil tells you, that you have to see it before it can be true, but Gods word says the seed has to grow deep down before it can grow up to the point where it can be seen. JHN12:24
•Devil will attack your mind with negative thoughts and suggestions, bit don't give in.
    • You don't fight thoughts with thought. You fight with words....open your mouth and speak Gods word aloud.
    • You must know the word before you can say it.

    2. By learning to wait on the Lord.
    • There is nothing you put your heart to lean that you can not learn, you can actually learn to wait on the lord.
•Though what you are praying for may tarry ,wait for it becaise it will come
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
    • It is not a matter of the word not working. It is a matter of timing

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live [again]? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Psalms 104:27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give [them] their meat in due season.

    # HOW DO YOU WAIT ON THE LORD?
Waiting does not mean you are idle ....its like a waiter in a restaurant that wait on you to take your order.
•Learn to wait on him in praises and worship.
    • while you are waiting make sure your attitude is protected.
