Hey! Something Good Is Being Worked Out

This morning, I want to share with you from the book of James. We will be looking at the first four verses by the help of God’s Spirit! I pray God will minister to us specifically in our situations.
Verse 1 – Scattered but not abandoned
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. (James 1:1 KJV)
James was a servant of God sent by God to twelve tribes which are SCATTERED abroad.
Are you seemingly “scattered” in your relationships and emotions? Are you seemingly disoriented and confused? Well, God has a word for you this morning and He has not left you alone or destitute!
Wherever you are in your relationship, even when you feel you are too far-gone, I want you to know that God is still reaching out to you! You may feel so scattered now because of the recent abortion or compromise, and you have so much guilt. I want you to know that God has not condemned you; the only thing He wants is your repentance.
What about your marriage? Your relationship with your spouse seems scattered? Embrace God’s word this morning, and let His word bring you out of that situation.
Verse 2 – Turn it into joy!
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; (James 1:2 KJV)
There will come test and trials, but you need to understand that the tests and trials that are there, not because anything is wrong with you, but because all things are okay with you!
So, the scripture above says, when that happens, don’t get sad, depressed or despondent, rather get happy, and count it all joy! In fact, The Message Translation says that you should “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.” (James 1:2 Message)
Verse 3 – There is a purpose
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.(James 1:3 KJV)
The trying of your faith is working out something! It is a classroom lesson so that the perfect man in you can appear! In classroom settings, promotion will always follow intense examinations! It is the same in the spiritual classroom. Tests and trials will always precede unprecedented favour!
When you are closest to that victory, breakthrough or open door, the tests and the pressures will intensify, but stand your ground, because God is about to honour you and lift you up!
Verse 4 – It will end in victory!
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.(James 1:4 KJV)
Don’t become hasty in order to pacify your emotions by looking for some other alternative during times of tests and trials.
You are in relationship. You are looking forward to marriage. Then your fiancée asks that you come and spend a night with him for “tasting” like some people will say! You stand your ground and you say No, you are a child of God! He leaves you because of that simple reason after about three years of courtship.
You feel so sad and disappointed. You feel there is a curse somewhere. But God said, count it all joy! It is working out something. God decided to show who he is before marriage rather than after marriage. He is a compromiser. He has no fear for God.
Now you are emotionally down! Verse 4 says let patience have her perfect work, so that in your next relationship, God will perfect it and you will be entire, wanting nothing! So, you don’t rush into another relationship, you take your time prayerfully and allow patience to have her perfect work.
You can understand it now. God does not hate you. Whatever you are going through, make sure you stay away from sin and compromise, stay with God and you will eventually laugh last!

I will be patient. I will not be hasty.

My God and my father, help me to see your purpose in every situation

So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well–developed, not deficient in any way. (James 1:4 Message)

Decide to rejoice about that situation
1 Samuel 21 - 24
