KNOWLEDGE: HOW POWERFUL? It's popularly said that knowledge is power, yes, its true but if we look critically, not all who possess knowledge truly are powerful. So i will rather say "knowledge is power only when it's studied, understood and applied." Dan11:32b KJV: "...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." What then is wisdom to a literary man? it's the right application of knowledge. So, from the above scripture, it's clearly shows that doing exploits is in knowing God. Without knowing God, there would be no exploits only excuses. However, I would define WISDOM as the application of an UNDERSTOOD KNOWLEDGE sir. In other words, knowing God will impart in us knowledge and applying that knowledge brings wisdom and that's how we will begin to do exploits. But you may say: we all know that you can't not give what you don't have sir? Yeah, so how do you get what you don't have? Matt7:7 Ask..., Seek..., Knock.... Moses at mount Sinai, always thought all he had was a rod, but when he had a knowledge of what he carried, there came power and when applied (by wisdom-Jesus) because Jesus is the wisdom of God, not till then was there a power flow(the exploits) at Egypt. But why are Christian youths in our generation not doing exploits? I say, we are too lazy. Dazed? Ok see Romans 1:28 ISV: Furthermore, because they did not think it worthwhile to [keep knowing God fully], God delivered them to degraded minds to perform acts that should not be done. KJVLite And even as they did not like to [retain God in their knowledge], God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; So, what essence or relevance is there for someone who has knowledge and does not apply it? He ends up doing things that are foolish, because what difference is there between such a fellow and another who is said as being reprobate? Here is my point, all we think and do and say must reflect Jesus, that is when we can do exploits. How then can we apply a Jesus we don't know? Our daily prayers should always be "that I may know Him..." How do you get to be wise? Romans 12:2 EasyEnglish: Do not let yourselves be like the people who belong to this world. But instead, let God change how you think. Then you will become new people. You will be able to understand what God wants you to do. You will understand what is good. You will understand what makes God happy. And you will *understand* how to live completely as God wants you to live. ISV: Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine(know) what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect. A second look at the life of Moses, at mount Sinai, he decided to take a closer look at the marvelous sight of the burning bush. This implies that,to know Christ, the only place is through a deeper look into the word of God. Not for a phase evaluation, but a keen, intentional, closer and deeper look. Don't just read the bible to know how to bamboozle people, read it to have a personal understanding of God.  PS 103:7  He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. Many people seek the ACTS of God (signs and miracles) when in actual fact, they should seek to KNOW his ways-Jesus, being the way the truth and life, no one comes to the father except he KNOWS the way-Jesus). No wonder Paul said ...that i may [know Him]..., when you know the way,i.e JESUS, you will see the truth,i.e JESUS and as you continue to behold the truth(Jesus), you end up becoming free. matt11:28-29  28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Rest is synonymous to freedom here. That freedom comes by knowledge which comes by learning (studying) A saying says, if u must keep wealth-prone secret or knowledge away from a black man, put it in a book. Many of us are enslaved to mediocrity because we are too lazy to read. Permit me to rephrase my description of knowledge: "Knowledge is power only when it's studied, understood and rightly applied, else knowledge will be nothing but a full display of mediocrity." Many people spend more time on Instagram or WhatsApp and other social media but even the electronic bible on their phones only gets clicked open on Sunday in church(cos they no longer carry Bibles to church na). Daniel, a youth like us, chose not to be called a slave, he knew of his freedom by books... Dan 9:2  In the first year of his reign I Daniel [understood by books], the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Hmmmm, when the devil was gonna tempt Jesus, what did he use...? He used the word and Jesus overcame by what? Wisdom(borne from the adequate understanding of the word and the application of the "it is written") NB: remember we defined wisdom as the application of an understood knowledge. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.  Act 14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. What is a testimony in those contexts above? Sharing of the evident results of a particular knowledge. I conclude with this: John 8:32  "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." It is not just enough to [know] the truth, if the truth must define your freedom, then you must engage that knowledge of the truth in the process of obtaining or attaining true freedom.

KNOWLEDGE-HOW POWERFUL?

knowledge is power only when it is studied, understood and applied, otherwise, it's a flamboyant display of mediocrity. those that do KNOW their God..., shall do exploits. ...that I may KNOW Him... ...and ye shall KNOW the truth and the truth shall me you free. many people are enslaved to their mediocrity because they are lazy. Hence, take the pains to read this article
