Continued from Part 1 Let's take a look at Gen 2:17, The Lord revealed a deeper meaning to this story while reading' but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely Die'. Jeru trip in the bible can be likened to knowing ( Knowledge) , and he knew her....., and he went into her and knew her....... Those are examples of how it's written . Now Jeru trip means knowing somebody, the highest form of knowing or closeness you can ever get to an individual , naked and nothing to hide. You know the person completely, (good, bad, evil, strong, weak) etc. From the above scripture....but of this knowing, you shall not eat of, the day that you eat of it, you shall Die. You are not supposed to know yet until you have been given the permission to know. In other words after Marriage. The moment you do so before Marriage, you Die spiritually. Something Dies in you. I can imagine later on, God would have still told them (Adam and Eve) that they could eat of that tree when the time was right for them to do so. But because of the lust of flesh coupled with the temptation from the Devil, they Fell and Died(James 1:14-15)and we all know what happened after wards, it's a death that still affects us even till now. Really, Do we want to Die? Just for some worldly pleasure. Now let's look at Physical Death that can occur from this act. We know the story of David and Bathsheba. After David committed adultery with her , he had to use another sin to cover that. sin led to Death of her husband , death of the Baby that was born, death of Amnon(David son), Death of Absalom(Another David son). Generations of David were still affected from this act. Are you seeing what I am seeing, this kind of sin produces effects that last long in generations, even as we saw from Adam and Eve story. It doesn't just stop with you, it affects your children and generations to come.( 2nd Samuel 12:11-12). From this Bible verse; Nathan was sent to David, ' this is what The Lord says out of your household i am going to bring calamity on you, before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight. You did this in secret, but I would do this thing in broad daylight before Israel' (NIV). David family afterwards never remained the same. Amnon raped his half sister, Tamar, Absalom was the one who slept with his father wives up on the building where all Israel could see. This was The Lord prophesy coming to pass. Now wasn't David a man after God heart? Yes he was. Had The Lord not forgiven David after he repented? Yes he had. But The Lord had spoken, and his words never fall to the ground. If you eat of this fruit, ye shall Die.....Nobody understands the way of the lord' He's a merciful God, yet a consuming fire'. the whole point is do not throw away your Glorious Destiny/Future just for some Wordly pleasure, it's not Worth it.... I know some people might say but some people do it and get away with it...hmmmm, Are you the same as them, Do you know what is going on in their life, Do you know what's in store for them, Why are you comparing your lives with others and not with Christ. It's a heavenly Race, Do we want to make Heaven? Another physical death that can arise from Jeru trap is Sicknesses and Diseases, these just comes from anywhere, and we really don't know where these sicknesses are coming from. Once a sin is committed, a whole lot of passage is given way for these into our body, no wonder when Jesus was healing, in the New Testament , he says, Go and sin no more, or Your sins are forgiven. Let's remain Sensitive. The Last point am going to make here is a pointer more to the guys, Genesis 38 :18 - The story of Judah(we can read the full story later). Before he slept with her, she asked him to give his Signet, Bracelet and staff. Let's look into this deeper. In Hebrews , Signet means ( to be chosen specially, to have a place in ones heart) , Bracelet( a commendable glory, and finery, like the soul and mind), while staff (strength , Direction). Giving a woman all these items before he slept with her means that he was ready to give his heart, soul, Mind and might to that person, To commit them to her. These are objects of authority, now imagine the person isn't your wife. Are you ready to give away all these authority just to anybody for her to toss away with, because once the act is committed, it's all gone. Interestingly Mark 12:30 says,' love The Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You see the reason why God would be angry with you when you share these items with someone else. The only person he has given permission for you to share these items with is Your WIFE ONLY. Husbands, Love your wife, even as Christ loved the church.....After him, your wife, because he said so. That is why Jeru Trip is a spiritual exercise. A whole lot of fury would let lose when you share your heart, mind, soul and strength before that person becomes your wife. I pray God helps us all. The pleasures of sin is nothing compared with the death and loss of destiny of God ultimate plan for us. We have read it all. This in not to Condemn anybody, Jesus is ready to accept us all, we just need to repent and come to him. Let's refuse to live after flesh, Sin shall not have dominion over us because we are conquerors. It's an heavenly Race, Choose whom you would serve today..........Remain blessed Fehintola Ajayi
