Quote: - You cannot find the right person while you have found the wrong person for yourself.
Rev Dunamis Tunde Okunowo
Pastor, how do you mean?
Some years back, I got a call from a lady. She began to lament on the phone how God did not hear her prayers about getting a suitor and getting married. She went on and on at how she sought the face of God but no answer. She said even as she was talking to me, she has been on a seven-day fast, yet no breakthrough.
Then she added a clause that revealed her foolishness and ignorance.
She said, “Even this man that I am with now, he has not said anything about marriage!”
Curious to know more, I said “which man?”
She said, “I am in his house now and he is just sleeping with me, he has said nothing about wedding!”
Wow! She is fasting, praying, and yet a married man is sleeping with her!
God cannot be mocked!
That is nothing more than adultery! God frowns at it!
God demands that you live a life of consecration in Him
You cannot find the right person while you have found the wrong person for yourself.
You cannot be praying for God’s direction while in sexual sin continually.
Rom 6:14 (KJV) For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
See it in another version:
Rom 6:14 (TPT) Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.
Look at the way Good News Bible puts it:
Rom 6:14 (GNB) Sin must not be your master; for you do not live under law but under God's grace.
Let me just say two things about sexual sins, especially adulterous relationships.
1. Adulterous affair is cheating on your destiny
Why is this so? It is a direct violation of the principles of God, so you end up not having God’s support and favour in your life. It is not worth it. Why would you deprive another person of what rightfully belongs to them while wishing all will go well with you?
2. Adultery is a stupid idea
Now I didn’t say that, God did. I am only echoing what God said.
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. (Proverbs 6:32 KJV)
Conversely, this is also true for the lady involved.
Now see that in Message translation because KJV seems to be really nice there.
Adultery is a brainless act, soul–destroying, self–destructive; (Proverbs 6:32 Message)
Brainless! That’s not nice at all, but that is the truth!
What the scripture is saying here is that if we can think deeply, we would not dabble into adultery for anything in this world.
We see right there the implication of adultery.
Expect a bloody nose, a black eye, and a reputation ruined for good. For jealousy detonates rage in a cheated husband; wild for revenge, he won't make allowances (Proverbs 6:33-34 Message)
The next time somebody is trying to talk you into some compromise, go ahead and tell that other person, that would be a stupid idea.
As singles, run away from overly nice married people because there is mostly an agenda behind all the gifts you are been offered. With time, intention shows up and becomes realities.
May God grant you understanding.
