The joy was palpable. The air, electric. It was the wedding day of Bimpe Bumpy! Bumpy is her nickname because of her exuberant personality.

Her joy knows no bounds. With a classy and exquisite gait, she walks down the aisle, each step punctuated with her heartbeat. She looks into the eyes of her dad as she walks her down and she has a rush of emotions, almost conflicting, a melange of joy and tears…she fights hard not to mess up her heavy makeup so early.

Bumpy, be strong. She silently says to herself.

Her groom waits ahead at the front of the altar, unmistakable with the punk style on his head, his imposing height and broad shoulder sitting on impressive six-packs! How she so much loved him!

Each step to the altar was significant for her. Steps away from singlehood into marriage!

What are those steps?

1. Discovery of your peace

This is an extremely important step towards the wedding altar. It is the foundational step upon which other steps will spring.

I have said it over and over again, do not marry without this peace of God. The Holy Ghost told me many years ago and I quote “The vibration of God’s vocal chord is peace!”

When God has spoken, you have peace! Unexplainable peace.

A peace that passes all understanding!

Php 4:7 (KJV)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

This peace keeps your heart in place concerning your choice in marriage!

This peace stabilizes your heart in the journey beyond the wedding altar!

This peace is God being with you all the way. And how you so really need that assurance that He is with you in that marital journey!

When the storms come and the wind bellows, this peace is what secures you.

This peace must be discovered before taking a walk down the aisle.

This peace is your security guard!

Php 4:7 (AMPC) And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

This peace is like an army barrack keeping you secured from marital bandits and kidnappers! This peace wades of attacks like divorce, adultery, strife, and so on!

I pray that God will grant you more understanding. God’s peace will not leave you! Shalom! Nothing missing, nothing broken in Jesus name! That peace surrounds you today and always!
