Picking up from where we stopped yesterday, the wedding at Cana of Galilee can teach us the following
1. Invite Jesus into your marriage.
And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. (John 2:2 KJV)
You cannot have a successful marriage without Jesus. The man was created to always need the god factor.
As a couple, you need to invite Jesus into your marriage. Jesus is the answer to whatever issues you might be experiencing right now.
Do you and your spouse still hold hands to pray? Do you both still approach the throne of grace on a daily basis? Do you touch heavens as individuals or as a team?
2. Jesus will always go the extra for us.
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. (John 2:5 KJV)
As couples, all you need to do is to invite Jesus. The Holy Spirit will do the rest. The couple never said a word to Jesus about the incident. It was Mary that did all the talking.
That is why couples should learn not just to pray regularly, but to do so in the spirit. things we naturally cant sort becomes sorted out when we pray in tongues.
3. They were obedient
No one will go far in life without obedience. The bible is our guide here on earth. It is full of several instructions to help us navigate our stay here. The more you study it, light shines on your path.
A family that doesn’t obey God is only joking. As couples, we should learn to study God’s word together, then apply its principles.
And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. (John 2:8KJV)
Whenever you are faced with a challenge, all you need to do is to draw some logos (water) out of that pot (Bible) now and have a sip. You will realize it has indeed turned to wine (Rhema).
4. Your marriage is your pulpit.
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now (John 2:9-10 KJV)
One of the best ways to evangelize is through your marriage. In a world where divorce rate is high, your marriage can stand out differently and be exceptional. The chairman was the one who started praising the couple, after tasting the water that became wine.
Can people bless God the moment they step into your house?
Can people give their lives to Christ just by observing your home?
5. Miracles still happen.
You can still believe God for that miracle. God still does wonders. He is still in the business of changing water to wine.
No matter how long that issue has lasted, all you need is to invite him as the couple did.
He is the same God of old. If he did it then, he can do much more, now.
Don’t give up yet, he can still turn things around in your favor.
Could there be homes going through turbulence, I pray the Lord will visit such homes today in Jesus name.
God bless you.
