You're advancing in years and all your younger ones and colleagues have gotten married with children and you're still trusting God for a life partner.
You and your colleague got that job at the same time, he has been promoted twice and you're still stuck at the same spot.
You started that business with your classmates. Today, he has opened several branches and you are still believing God to sustain just this one retail outlet.
You have done everything doable for a change of level, but things are still the same.
With all these, one will be tempted to conclude that something must be wrong with you. Some people have allowed such issues in their lives drive them to visit so many places and see many 'seers and prophets', thinking something is wrong with them.
But hear the word of the Lord to you
Who believes what we’ve heard and seen? Who would have thought God’s saving power would look like this? The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling, a scrubby plant in a parched field. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look. He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand. One look at him and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum. But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. Isaiah 53:1-3 MSG
Jesus carried away everything that was wrong with us. Hallelujah! Since Christ carried it, it means I don't have it anymore, keep confessing it.
The fact that no suitor is coming, the business is not progressing, or the promotion is not forthcoming doesn't mean that something is wrong with you because Christ has taken everything that was wrong with you.
Most times, we are too quick to believe the reports of men concerning the issues of our lives over God's reports.
The report of God says Jesus carried away all things wrong with you. I dare you to believe it.
May God grant you more understanding in Jesus' name, amen.
CONFESSION OF THE DAY
Christ carried all things wrong with me
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, help me to believe your report over other reports
THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it. Galatians 3:13 - 14 MSG
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Look at those reports of your life that looks like something is wrong with you and confess God's reports over them.
