What can we learn from the creation story?

God is the Creator of all things.

Creation was a planned process.

Every space created was filled up. No vacuum was left unfilled. The sea was created before the creatures in it were. The land was created before vegetation. The skies were filled with birds, the sun, the moon, and the stars. God didn’t want anything to be empty.

God was pleased with everything He created.

When He got to the part of animals and vegetation, He pronounced blessings on them, commanding them to multiply according to their type. He identified them as living things, expecting them to continue the process of life-giving.

What else do you think one can learn from the creation story?

May God reveal more of it to you. In Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, reveal more of the creation story to me. What was in your mind as you made the earth?
