Kisses and Huggs Club is a deeply spiritual platform. It is a place where demonic powers are broken, yokes are destroyed, burdens are lifted, strongholds are dislodged and the truth is preached and taught by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Testimonies abound from people who cannot do without this devotional, and several lives across the world that have been touched and changed. Nothing gives me more joy than this, several lives changed, all to the glory of God. So, keep sharing!
This morning, I want to write to all who desire a change.
You are tired of the status quo. You are frustrated with a particular sinful lifestyle. You want to change but you don’t know how. You are hooked to pre-marital sex and you really desire a change! How do you change?
This is the first step. Confront yourself and tell yourself the truth. This is not the time to pretend or act up. You will not be able to successfully pretend before God and try to twist Him, so there is no point.
Be real. Confront yourself. Acknowledge the sin. Identify the weakness. Don't hide it so that your destiny will not be hidden into oblivion. Jacob was confronted before he could rewrite his destiny. God asked him, Who are you? And he replied, “I am a fraudster!” That truthful encounter was the beginning of a turning point in his life!
The second step is to repent. If you don't repent, confrontation of your sins will only drive you into guilt. It is repentance that brings healing. Go before God and ask Him to forgive you. And you know what? God will not only forgive you, He will also forget all you have done! He said, “Your iniquities will I remember no more!”
Now is the time to ask God to make you anew and give you a new heart. Create a new spirit within me, so David prayed. Let God rule in the affairs of your life. Do nothing unless He sanctions it. Commit to a life of obedience in Him.
The next thing is to disconnect with old friends and acquaintances who partners with you in sin. You know them, when you see such people, your knees weaken, your resolve dissolves, your flesh comes alive and your tenacity to do what is right practically thins off. Disconnect from such. Delete the numbers.
Your soul is worth such radical changes. Your glorious future is worth such radicalism. Your eternal destination calls for such separation. You will be abused, mocked and geared at, but they did more to Jesus. When you pick certain calls and they start ranting nonsense, hang up the phone before they hang up your destiny! Destroy those pornographic films and stuffs. Just let go so that you can let God!
The next stage is deliberate, conscious renewal of your mind. Be ye transformed by the renewal of the mind. Transformation comes as you listen to God’s word, attend services, read books and listen to messages.
The eyes of your understanding begins to open and you start to understand the mind of Christ. Read God’s word daily. Don’t miss it. It is the strength for your soul. It is the energy in your inner man. Have a consistent devotion with God. Get filled with the Holy Ghost, with evidence of speaking in tongues, if you haven’t!
The next thing is to deliberately choose your friends. It will determine your influence and inform your decisions. Friendship is not by force, but by choice. Surround yourself with wrong people and ruin your destiny. Surround yourself with the right people and your destiny takes a leap.
People are either doors or walls. You meet some, and you gain entrance into greater altitudes. You meet others, and you are completely hindered and stagnated in the things of God. You sleep with a strange woman and you simply invite strange afflictions. You sleep with an evil man, depression and despondency alights! Disconnect and run from such people! Be picky, be choosy, be deliberate.
Finally, make up your mind. Apostle Paul talked about being fully persuaded. He said nothing will separate him from the love of God. No man, having laid his hands on the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God. Stay away from sin. Sin shall not have dominion over you! Decide to serve God and do it His way for the rest of your life. When you are committed to God this way, God will be committed to you! It is a new day for you!
I pray for you, that change you have longed for, may it begin this day in your life in Jesus name! I pray for you with the strength of my call, you will fulfill destiny! You will not be cut off in the midst of your days! Be blessed!
My mind is made up to serve God in my generation
Lord, strengthen me from within to do your will in Jesus name
