On being a model wife, I mentioned the fact you need to

1. Be supportive.

2. Be prayerful, and

3. Help him.

Today, let's pick it up from there

4. Be submissive:

Wives have to be submissive, that's God's order. For the marriage to work, you have to submit to your own husband. The earlier you align to it, the better.

Someone has to be the head. Someone has to be the captain. That someone is your husband. Allow him to function in the office God has called him to. Let him take the lead.

Yes, you will have your own ideas and plans too. Your ideas, plans, and vision can only materialize when you put them under his leadership. That's what submission is....putting your mission under his own.

Do not be a source of stress to your head. Do not give him a headache or migraine. If you do, you will also bear the brunt. Once the head is sick, other parts of the body become affected as well. If the head is good, the body will enjoy it.

4. Be his friend

Be his number one fan. Be his support system. Be his one to go person. This may be difficult if you were not really friends in courtship, but you can build that friendship.
If you were once friends and life happened, you can pick up from where you left.

Remember, you are in a life long relationship. You need to be the best of friends to enjoy your journey together. You don't want to be on the same ship with someone you are not comfortable with. You don't want to journey with someone you are not familiar with. The journey becomes fun and easier if you are traveling with a friend and companion.
