Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Kisses & Huggs Club ("KHC", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using KHC, you consent to the practices described here.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, gender, and relationship path (single or married).
Hub profile information: If you fill out your Matchmaking Hub profile, we collect additional information including your date of birth, location, profession, education, church details, pastor name, mentor name, faith journey, and preferences about marriage and lifestyle.
Profile photos: Photos you upload are stored on our servers and visible to other eligible members within The Matchmaking Hub.
Activity data: We track your engagement with the platform, including reflections, prayers, lesson completions, and devotional participation. This data is used to compute your maturity level and streak.
Messages: Messages between connected members are stored on our servers. Messages may be reviewed by administrators if flagged by our automated content moderation system or reported by a member.
Payment information: Payment is processed by Paystack. We do not store your credit card or bank account details on our servers. Paystack's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.
Technical data: We collect IP addresses, browser type, and device information for security, fraud prevention, and platform improvement.
To operate the platform: Display your profile to eligible members, match you with potential connections, track your spiritual growth, manage your wallet and referrals.
To protect the community: Monitor messages for conduct violations, detect and prevent scams, enforce the Hub Conduct Agreement, and respond to reports.
To communicate with you: Send notifications about interests, messages, milestones, and important platform updates.
To improve KHC: Analyze usage patterns to improve features, content, and the overall experience. We do not use your personal reflections, prayers, or revelations for any purpose other than delivering them back to you.
With other members: Your Hub profile (name, age, location, profession, faith details, photo, and preferences) is visible to eligible members of the opposite gender within The Matchmaking Hub. Your reflections, prayers, and revelations are private unless you choose to share them.
With service providers: We use Paystack for payments, Hostinger for hosting, and may use email or SMS providers for notifications. These providers only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their service.
We never sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our members or the public.
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Hostinger. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Messages, reflections, and other personal content are stored in our database and are not encrypted at rest. Administrators with appropriate access may view this data for moderation and safety purposes.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deactivation, your profile is removed from public view within 7 days. Backend records (activity logs, messages, conduct records) may be retained for up to 12 months after deactivation for safety, legal, and dispute resolution purposes.
Wallet balances and transaction records are retained indefinitely for accounting and regulatory compliance.
Access: You can view your profile, activity history, and wallet information at any time through the platform.
Correction: You can update your profile information at any time through the Hub Setup form or Settings page.
Deletion: You can request account deletion by contacting us at hello@kissesandhuggs.com. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to the retention periods described above.
Data export: You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
KHC uses WordPress session cookies to keep you logged in and functional cookies required for the platform to operate. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics trackers.
KHC is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will terminate it immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
