Day 2: 123 Days of Fasting - Prayers and Affirmations
As we progress with the fast, we will be doing many Holy Spirit-inspired prayers. Stay consistent. This is what God told me; yokes will be broken, age-old issues will be resolved, yokes will be terminated, the oppressors will go free, curses will be broken, and so many other things. Just stay with it and pay the price now!
Zechariah 8:18-19 (KJV) And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying, [19] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

Confession / Affirmation
During this season of waiting on God, I declare with faith and confidence that the Word of the Lord will come to me. Just as it came to Zechariah in Zechariah 8:18, I trust that God is faithful to speak to me clearly and specifically about every area of my life—my purpose, my relationships, and my future. I believe that He has great and mighty things in store for me, even things I cannot yet imagine, as Jeremiah 33:3 assures me: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
I affirm that I am sensitive to hear God’s voice with precision concerning my life and His perfect will for me. My spirit is attuned to the Holy Spirit, who leads me into all truth (John 16:13), and I walk confidently in alignment with His direction. Like a sheep who hears the Shepherd’s voice, I recognize His call and follow Him faithfully, just as John 10:3-4 declares: “The sheep hear His voice; He calls His own sheep by name… and they follow Him.”
Regarding my wedding or marriage, as single or married, I boldly proclaim that the Word of the Lord will come to me in Jesus’ name. I trust that God’s timing and plan for my marriage are perfect, and I receive His promises with faith and gratitude. Proverbs 18:22 reminds me that finding a spouse is a blessing from the Lord: “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” And I hold fast to Jeremiah 29:11, knowing that “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Concerning God’s purpose for my life, I affirm that the Word of the Lord will come to me in Jesus’ name. I stand ready to embrace His calling and fulfill the destiny He has prepared for me. Psalm 37:4 encourages me to delight myself in the Lord, promising that “He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Ephesians 2:10 confirms that “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
In Jesus’ name, I have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to me as I wait on the Lord. I reject confusion, doubt, and fear, and I embrace clarity, peace, and confidence in His leading. I trust that God’s voice will guide me through every challenge and decision, just as Isaiah 30:21 says: “This is the way, walk in it,” when I turn to the right or to the left.
Father, I surrender my thoughts, decisions, and actions to You, trusting that Your Word will guide me daily. From this day forward, I commit to walking in alignment with Your perfect will, knowing that Your ways are higher than mine. Proverbs 3:5-6 anchors my faith: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Father, I thank You for preparing my heart to receive Your Word with humility and readiness to respond. Any hardness or resistance within me is removed in Jesus’ name. I am soft clay in the Potter’s hands, ready to be molded and shaped according to Your design. Psalm 51:10 speaks to my heart: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” And Matthew 11:29 reassures me: “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
I declare that my hunger for Your Word grows deeper each day. I make time to dwell in Scripture, allowing it to shape my mind, heart, and life. The Bible is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, guiding me through every challenge and decision. Matthew 4:4 strengthens my resolve: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” And Jeremiah 15:16 fills me with joy: “Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart.”
Holy Spirit, I am empowered to discern Your voice amidst the noise of the world. I filter out distractions, lies, and confusion, focusing only on the truth of Your Word. Every thought is brought into captivity to obey Christ. Second Timothy 1:7 reminds me: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Colossians 3:16 encourages me to let “the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.”
Finally, I thank You, Father, for answering my prayers today and always. I rejoice in Your faithfulness and celebrate the blessings You pour into my life. Your Word never returns void, and I trust that every promise You have spoken over me will come to pass. First John 5:14 assures me: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” And Isaiah 65:24 comforts me: “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
I declare that the Word of the Lord is alive and active in my life. It guides me, corrects me, encourages me, and empowers me to fulfill His purposes. As I wait on Him, I trust that He will speak clearly and lead me into His perfect plan.
Isaiah 55:11 seals this declaration: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

Confession and Affirmation for Day 1 of 123 Days Fasting and Prayers
Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude and expectancy, as I begin this sacred journey of fasting and prayer. On this first day, I declare that Your Word is alive in me, and by the power of Your Spirit, I will walk in alignment with Your promises.
Father, I thank You because You have us in Your mind . You are mindful of our needs, challenges, and desires. It is not by chance that we are here; it is by divine appointment. This fast is Your call upon my life, and I joyfully accept it as an act of obedience to Your voice. I proclaim that every step I take during these 123 days is ordained by You, and I trust that You will lead me through each moment with purpose and clarity.
I thank You, Lord, because Your Word has come to us at this time . The scripture from Zechariah 8:18-19 resonates deeply within me—Your promise that what was once sorrowful can now become joyful. These appointed times of fasting are no longer burdens but opportunities for transformation, breakthrough, and celebration. I confess that as I meditate on Your Word daily, it will renew my mind, strengthen my spirit, and align my heart with Your truth.
Lord, I am grateful because You will grant me the grace and strength to participate fully in this fast . I acknowledge that without You, I can do nothing, but with You, all things are possible. I declare that supernatural endurance flows through me, enabling me to fulfill every commitment I make to You during this season. No weakness or temptation will derail me from the path You have set before me. By Your grace, I will persevere until the end.
Thank You, Father, because this fast will bring me JOY ! I believe that even in moments of sacrifice, there is rejoicing because I am drawing closer to You. My soul exults in the knowledge that You are near, and my spirit dances in anticipation of the blessings You have prepared. I declare that joy unspeakable and full of glory will fill my heart throughout this fast, making my countenance radiant with Your presence.
I also thank You because this fast will bring me GLADNESS . Gladness is more than fleeting happiness—it is deep-seated contentment rooted in You. It is the assurance that You are working everything together for my good. As I deny myself and seek Your face, gladness will overflow in my life, dispelling despair and replacing it with hope. I affirm that laughter, peace, and satisfaction will characterize my days ahead.
Finally, I thank You, Lord, for the ability to develop a love for Your Word and the peace that comes through it . Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. During this fast, I will feast on Your truth, allowing it to nourish my spirit and guide my steps. I declare that my love for Your Word will grow stronger each day, anchoring me in unwavering faith. Through Your Word, I receive the peace that surpasses all understanding—a peace that guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
In conclusion, I stand firm in the promises of Zechariah 8:18-19. What was once marked by mourning will now be transformed into seasons of joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts. I embrace this fast as an opportunity to love the truth and pursue peace. With confidence, I say, "This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!" (Psalm 118:24).
I commit myself wholly to You, Lord, trusting that as I surrender, You will pour out Your blessings abundantly. May this fast position me to experience the fullness of Your goodness, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this journey.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I confess.
Amen.
Final Declaration:
"By faith, I enter into this fast knowing that joy, gladness, strength, and peace are mine in Christ. I am loved, chosen, and equipped by God to fulfill His purposes. Hallelujah!"
It’s beneficial to have a clear understanding of what constitutes an acceptable fast. This will ensure that we’re acting in the right manner. The provided script explains everything in detail.
Isaiah 58:3-12 (KJV) Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. [4] Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. [5] Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? [6] Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? [7] Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? [8] Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. [9] Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; [10] And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: [11] And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. [12] And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Also, read the Message Translation for more clarity:
Isaiah 58:3-12 (MSG) But they also complain, 'Why do we fast and you don't look our way? Why do we humble ourselves and you don't even notice?' "Well, here's why: "The bottom line on your 'fast days' is profit. You drive your employees much too hard. [4] You fast, but at the same time you bicker and fight. You fast, but you swing a mean fist. The kind of fasting you do won't get your prayers off the ground. [5] Do you think this is the kind of fast day I'm after: a day to show off humility? To put on a pious long face and parade around solemnly in black? Do you call that fasting, a fast day that I, GOD, would like? [6] "This is the kind of fast day I'm after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. [7] What I'm interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families. [8] Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. Your righteousness will pave your way. The GOD of glory will secure your passage. [9] Then when you pray, GOD will answer. You'll call out for help and I'll say, 'Here I am.' "If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims, quit gossiping about other people's sins, [10] If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight. [11] I will always show you where to go. I'll give you a full life in the emptiest of places— firm muscles, strong bones. You'll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry. [12] You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You'll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.

God has instructed us to fast, and we are set!
Introduction:
God spoke to us as a church and ministry, instructing us to fast. Essentially, we are affirming that God has called for this fast!
Any fast that God initiates has a purpose, and it is crucial for us to participate in it.
Scriptural Basis:
Zechariah 8:18-23 (KJV) And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying, [19] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace. [20] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: [21] And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. [22] Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. [23] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
As you can see, the outcome of this fast is REVIVAL. Revival is your home, your relationships, your marriage, your finances, and so on!
