From Fasting to Feasting—God’s Promise of Joy and Gladness

Grace, peace, and abundant blessings be multiplied unto you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! This month, we have been meditating on Zechariah 8:19 (AMPC) , which says:
"Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah times of joy and gladness and cheerful, appointed seasons; therefore [in order that this may happen to you, as the condition of fulfilling the promise] love truth and peace."
What an incredible promise from God! This scripture reminds us that what begins as sacrifice can transform into celebration when we align ourselves with His purposes. Just as fasting was meant to draw God’s people closer to Him, resulting in joy and gladness, so too does your faithful giving position us collectively to experience divine provision, favor, and fulfillment.
From Sacrifice to Celebration
Every act of giving—whether large or small—is like a seed planted in fertile soil. It represents trust in God’s ability to multiply and use it for His glory. Like the Israelites who were called to turn their seasons of fasting into joyful feasts, your partnership enables us to turn challenges into victories, lack into abundance, and despair into hope.
